Rules of Eligibility

• Entrants must have an advanced degree received on or after January 1, 2010. Candidates for M.D./Ph.D. degrees are eligible to compete for the prize if either their Ph.D. or final degree was awarded after January 1, 2010.
• The entrant's essay must describe their research and its implications for regenerative medicine or cell therapy.
• The entrant must have performed the work described in the essay.
• Employees of Sartorius, its subsidiaries, Science and AAAS, and their relatives are not eligible for the prize.

The Prize is awarded annually to one researcher for the most outstanding basic or translational research conducted by him/her.

Prize money: US$25,000
